Almost Summer!

Today was our last full day of school. Here's what we did:

We started a Kindergarten Memory book, writing about our school, best friends, favorite activities and favorite books.

After recess, we played "Pin the Eye Patch on the Pirate."

We've been learning about birds, so before lunch, we did a bird nest craft.

After lunch, we sang Happy Birthday to all the kids who will celebrate their 6th birthday over summer break. Happy Birthday to Fred III, Karina, Brooklynn, Theodore, Jun, Mar'Quin & Rhea!

We spent our afternoon playing musical chairs, playing in the centers, & signing each other's autograph pages in their memory books.

New Sweatshirts

Last week, the staff and all the students received new Saint Mary's Eagles sweatshirts. Thanks Mr. Herbert and SMCSD!

This is our last week of school. Today is our Kinder Celebration at 3:15. 

Tomorrow will be the last full day of school.

Thursday will be Awards at 11:00 followed by the End of Year Picnic and Slideshow.

Buddy Reading

This week we concluded our Preschool Visitor Program. The Preschoolers have all had a chance to visit our classroom now. :)

This Friday we also did a buddy read with the Preschool kids. The Preschoolers are amazed that the Kindergartners can read!

A lot happened this week! We also had a Jigsaw puzzle competition, and Fred III and Richelle were the winners! They each got to choose a prize from the treasure chest, and take home a puzzle.

Finally, here's a picture of Ian and Rhea in the workshop center. We are learning about building and tools this month.
